Robin Gibb is Stayin' Alive !

Robin Gibb, 62  Bee Gees singer is awake from his coma and able to speak to his loved ones.  He is, according to doctors,  able to communicate and breathe on his own.  He is using a oxygen mask, is weak and very exhausted. He fell into the coma earlier this month after contracting pneumonia.  All of this while receiving treatment for colon and liver cancer.

Robin Gibb is a member of the band the Bee Gees, which he formed with his brothers, Barry and Maurice.  They had many hits in the 1970's including "Night Fever" and " Stayin' Alive".  They had a career spanning over 50 years with over 200 million in record sales.

The Bee Gees music was part of the music enjoyed by all of us closet disco lovers on Glee last week.  I even had to break out the old Bee Gee album to show my 14 year old teen when she asked if all girls were singing those songs.  Oh, no those are the Bee Gees.  The Bee Gees.   Those are songs we all love to sing along to on the car radio.  The only thing is now they are on the oldie station.

Get well soon,  Robin.   You will always be " jive talkin'" to us.
